About
Hi, I’m Santiago Uceda, a peruvian-born illustrator, now living in a small college town in the Pacific Northwest. After graduating from CSU Fullerton I freelanced for regional and national publications for several years before shifting gears and becoming a graphic designer.
I worked as a graphic designer for South Coast Repertory and then went on to the Orange County Performing Arts Center before moving to Oregon. I am now employed as senior graphic designer for Oregon State University where I focus on print, web and motion graphics projects. A large portion of my time at OSU is spent designing Terra magazine where I get to work with some incredibly talented illustrators and photographers.
My current illustration portfolio consists mostly of gig posters and apparel design. My t-shirt designs have been printed by designbyhumans, teefury, shirt.woot.com and had a shoe design printed by RYZ. I am looking to expand and work on different type of projects.
I am also a member of the Black Rock Collective. As a group we have done many collaborative projects: zines, t-shirts, playing card decks, etc. Earlier this year I curated a group show for the Black Rock Collective at the Threadless store in Chicago, below is a video from the show (courtesy of Threadless).
I’m a lot friendlier than the picture you see on this bio… Feel free to get in touch, you can email me at suceda@gmail.com, follow me on twitter, be my “friend” on facebook, add me as a flickr contact, or do whatever it is that people do on linkedin.
